Payment Policy & Terms of Use

This Payment Policy governs the use of the online payment platform provided by Sterling Addlife (India) Pvt. Ltd.

1. Introduction

This Payment Policy governs the use of the online payment platform provided by Sterling Addlife (India) Pvt. Ltd. ("Sterling Addlife", "Company", "We", "Us" or "Our"). By accessing and using the payment facility, the customer ("Customer", "User", "You") agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Sterling Addlife provides this platform solely to facilitate payment of bills for services availed or to be availed at its designated centres.

2. Scope of Services

Accordingly, Sterling Addlife acts only as a facilitator and is not a party to the banking transaction.

Sterling Addlife does not process payments directly.
Payments are processed through:
- Banks
- NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India)
- Payment Aggregators / Third-party service providers

3. Payment Authorization & Instructions

3.1 Customer Instructions

All payment instructions are provided by the Customer through authorized channels of the Bank or payment gateway.
Such instructions shall be:
- Binding
- Final
- Conclusive evidence of authorization

3.2 Authentication

Any transaction performed using:
- Passwords
- OTP (One-Time Password)
- Other authentication credentials shall be deemed to have been validly authorized by the Customer.

3.3 Execution of Transactions

Submission of a payment instruction does not guarantee execution.
A transaction shall be considered complete only upon confirmation by the Bank/payment system.

4. Customer Responsibilities

The Customer agrees and undertakes to:

Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information
Ensure correctness of:
- Billing details
- Account details
- Identification credentials
Verify payment details before submission

The Customer accepts full responsibility for:

Errors in payment due to incorrect information
Any resulting loss or inconvenience

5. Accuracy of Information

Sterling Addlife does not independently verify customer-provided information.
The Company shall not be liable for:
- Errors in billing arising from incorrect details
- Rejection of transactions due to incomplete or inaccurate data
The Customer agrees to indemnify Sterling Addlife against losses arising from incorrect information provided.

6. Third-Party Dependencies

The Customer acknowledges that:

Payments are routed through:
- Banks
- NPCI
- Payment aggregators
Sterling Addlife has no control over third-party systems

Accordingly, the Company shall not be liable for:

Transaction failures
Delays in processing
Settlement issues caused by third parties

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Sterling Addlife does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the payment facility.

The Company shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused by:

System downtime
Network disruptions
Technical errors
Software failures
Telecommunication issues
Errors in bill retrieval systems

This includes failures occurring at:

Bank level
NPCI systems
Aggregator platforms

8. Transaction Outcomes & Refunds

A transaction marked as successful may still be:
- Reversed
- Refunded by the Bank

Sterling Addlife shall not be liable for:

Failed transactions post initial success
Refund delays or reversals initiated by the bank or payment system

Refund Processing

In the event of a successful transaction, and there is a need for cancelation of service/change of plan by the customer, a refund request needs to be raised by the customer. Upon successful receipt and verification of the refund request, the refund shall be processed in the original payment mode within 72 working hours.

9. Data Collection and Sharing

The Customer expressly consents to:

Sharing of billing and payment-related data with:
- Banks
- Payment gateways
- Aggregators
- Other authorized third parties
Receiving communications via:
- SMS
- Email
- Phone calls
- WhatsApp messages

This is necessary for:

Payment processing
Notifications and alerts

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Sterling Addlife shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses
Total liability, if any, shall be limited to:
- Service fees paid by the Customer in the preceding two (2) months if services not availed
- Excluding actual transaction amounts

11. Indemnity

The Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Sterling Addlife, including its:

Directors
Employees
Affiliates
Agents

Against any losses, claims, damages, or costs arising from:

Unauthorized use of payment facility
Breach of these Terms
Incorrect instructions provided by the Customer
Misrepresentation or false information

12. Right to Refuse or Suspend Service

Sterling Addlife reserves the right to:

Refuse any transaction
Suspend payment services
Seek clarification or additional documentation

At its sole discretion, especially where:

Instructions appear contradictory
Transactions may result in financial or reputational risk

13. Modification of Terms

Continued use of the payment facility constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

The Company reserves the right to:
- Modify, amend, or update these Terms at any time
Updated terms will be:
- Published on the website
- Effective upon notification

14. Withdrawal of Payment Facility

Sterling Addlife may withdraw or suspend the payment facility:

At any time
Without prior notice
Without assigning any reason

15. Notices

Notices may be communicated via:
- Website updates
- Newspapers
- Electronic communication
- Social media
Such notices shall be deemed served:
- 7 days after publication, or
- Upon direct receipt (if delivered individually)

16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

Sterling Addlife reserves the right to initiate proceedings in any other competent jurisdiction.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India
Any disputes shall fall under jurisdiction of:
- Courts and tribunals in Ahmedabad, Gujarat

17. Acceptance of Terms

The Customer confirms acceptance of these Terms by:

Clicking on "I Agree" / "Agree & Proceed"
Completing authentication via OTP

Such acceptance is:

Legally binding
Equivalent to a signed agreement
By proceeding with payment, you acknowledge that Sterling Addlife acts only as a facilitator and is not responsible for banking or payment processing outcomes.
